About us
The history of BODUM begins in Copenhagen, Denmark, where the company was founded in 1944 by Peter Bodum and is currently run by his son Jørgen Bodum, the current CEO, who also owns the company together with his sister Pia Bodum and ensures that the BODUM Group remains a fully family-owned business. Peter Bodum imported BODUM glassware to Denmark in the early years of the company, after seeing vacuum coffee makers for the first time. Impressed by the taste, he began to improve the design and produce a product accessible to everyone, laying the foundation for the success of the BODUM company. In the early 1950s, he produced the MOCCA, the first BODUM vacuum coffee maker, before launching the SANTOS vacuum coffee maker in 1958.
Bodum Chambord coffee maker
Iconic French press that brings out the full flavor and aroma of the preparation
The carafe is made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass, which does not discolor or alter or affect the natural aroma of the coffee.
The frame and lid are made of durable stainless steel, which has undergone multiple chrome plating processes to create a shiny, durable surface that can withstand many years of use.
The black handle is made of polypropylene with a matte finish that provides a comfortable grip when serving and adds to the classic quality of the design.
